This made my day!

As I'm preparing my grocery list for tomorrow, I came across this!  It just made me laugh out loud!

Spring is here!

We are feeling and seeing Spring all around us these days.  We want to be outside ALL the time and soak it all in.  We've planted some strawberries and blueberries this year in our new backyard.  It's fun to see the girls getting excited about  growing things.  And it seems the trees have sprung leaves overnight.  There is new life all around us!  Let's hope our small plants actually produce some fruit this year. :)

And we love our swings in the backyard too!!

Camping 101

1.  Find a good looking, strong guy to put up your tent!

2.  Make sure you are related to someone with a boat!

3.  Pick a place with awesome sunsets!

4.  Make sure you bring a rockin' cousin!

5.  Let Daddy show you how it's done!

6.  Make sure you have a "Safety Net". (a.k.a. Aunt Dana)

7.  Always have a dedicated "shiner" catcher!

8.  Let loose and enjoy the ride!

9.  Bring along lots of goodies to eat!

10.  Never let down your guard! She's BAD!

11.  Find a good Fishin' Buddy!

12.  Hit the trails hard!

13.  Spin, Spin, and Spin!!

14. Make sure to stay hydrated!

15. Find the perfect spot to let Mom take your picture!

We had a great time taking the girls on their first camping trip!  The state park was super clean and the lake was beautiful!  It was great to be outdoors and away from the day-to-day schedule.  Hope everyone had a great Spring Break!

Crawfishin'

Okay, so to start my 2011 blog book, I need to back-up a bit (what we from Louisiana call "crawfishin'") and transfer a couple of posts. Many of you have already seen these on the old site, but I gotta do it for the book. There will be some new pictures soon enough!

Reality has hit . . .

Okay, I finally did it!  I moved to a new blog site.  The whole reason for having a site in the first place was to share our daily and special happenings with family and friends far away.  The reality that we live far, far away from loved ones hit long ago, but I was still living in an apparent dream world. (well, kinda . . .)  See, I have been wanting to create blog books for quite some time now.  The reality of not having the time to properly scrapbook hit a while back as well.  My favorite site for creating books, Blurb, only accepts a handful of blog sites for what they call Blog to Book.  (an amazingly easy process . . . so I'm told)  I have been hanging onto the hope that they will add my old blog site to their list.  Well folks, I don't think it's gonna happen. (at least, not anytime soon)  So, after almost 5 years of blog posts on the old site, I'm changing over! Many more reality moments to come! (and pictures too!)

A Berry Good Time . . .

Adison had a blast at her birthday!  She was proudly sporting the strawberry mustache!  We had a few family and friends over for some girly fun!
