School has begun. Schedules are re-aligning. Ball practices are coming. Fall will come before I know it and, boy, am I ready!
We won't see these colors around here. The trees actually have to be green before they turn those golden fall colors. There is definitely a lack of green in these parts this summer. But, I can't wait for those west winds to start blowing!

My 6 year old! (and her crazy sister)
I finally got the chance to take Abi's 6 year old pictures! We had fun with Adison entertaining us. I had seen a newspaper background on a website and loved it. So, I made my own. (not the same, but it served it's purpose) I also had fun playing with different actions. Abi says it makes her look fake and "too light". ( she's becoming quite the critic these days) Anyway, here are the results of our fun shoot!
Adison provided us with comic relief. All I can say is that she is CRAZY!! (her daddy's child of course)
This last one is going in a frame ASAP before they grow-up any more!

More Vacation ...
We also visited Moody Gardens on Galveston Island. It was a great place to get out of the heat and the girls had a blast!
We saw a couple of IMAX movies! Dora was Adison's favorite!
There was a beautiful Rainforest exhibit.
This is a view of the Pyramids from the paddle boat.
There was also an aquarium. The girls loves the penguins!
A sweet lady at the hotel, gave the girls a coloring book! Adison got comfy, tucked in her friends, and got busy on her art work.
We had a fun couple days away! We then made the long treck to visit Mumsey and Pops. The girls did really well on the drive and had a blast with grandparents. We are thankful for our time with family!

Kemah Boardwalk
We got the chance to get away with our girls for a couple of days and we had so much fun. I love just sitting back and watching the their personalities play out. We made a quick trip to Galveston before heading to Louisiana to see Mumsey. We were needing some undivided family time! Our first night there we ventured out and visited the known Kemah Boardwalk. It was a perfect "family" outing. (Thanks Anisha!) We rode rides, walked along the bay, ate great seafood, and even got a little wet. We were eating ice cream just as the sun was going down and the splash pad was calling out to the girls. I just sat down with my camera and started talking pictures! It was getting pretty dark and the pictures are a bit fuzzy, but I just cherish these. The pure joy on their faces is priceless.
I'll be posting more from the trip later . . .
Whenever Adison ran through the water, this was her reaction! Gotta love it!
Abi is getting pretty good with the camera. She took this pic of us!
And Adison took this one. She had to have a turn too!
I couldn't resist! I had to snap a shot of these thrill-seekers. Love the expressions.
