Where the dinosaurs roamed
We headed out one Saturday for a full day of hiking, biking, and walking where the dinosaurs once roamed. The weather was beautiful and the girls had the best time! We hiked up, down and all around. They never skipped a beat! We are loving this age when they are physically strong enough to hang in there all day. It was just a good all around family day. Lots of Mommy-Daddy time to follow behind and just chat. Lots of Mommy-Daughter and Daddy-Daughter moments too! There is just something about how God speaks to us through nature that is so satisfying to my soul.
"Look girls - Dinosaur Tracks!"
Toward the end of our day, with wet shoes and lots of laughs, Mommy found the perfect light!!
The girls happily posed for me!
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."

A Howlin' Good Birthday
Adison turned SIX this year! Crazy! Six just seems so big to me. The jump from 5 to 6 is just so huge. She has grown so much over the last year. She is such a prankster and still has a sweet, snuggly side to her as well. Her wish for this birthday was to go to Great Wolf Lodge. So, Gami made the trip out and we had a great time! We went during the week this go-round and I think that we learned that's the way to go! We had the place to ourselves and it was wonderful.
She blew out her candles with her buddy "polka-dot" right by her side. She loves that stuffed animal. I will actually be sad to see it go one day. It will mark another milestone in her life. (sniff, sniff)
She also had been begging me for months to have a pinata for her birthday. (big sister had one last year) Well, she got it and wacked the mess out of it! I think it's time for softball again! :)
It was a great time as we celebrated our 6 year old! I'm still trying to figure out how to slow down the years to come. :)
